"Because of economics, families are either forced financially to focus on money as the most important issue in their lives or they buy into social pressure to make it the most important thing. Money is not the most important thing - relationships are.
The most important resource we have is our children and our elderly {wisdom from the elderly and innocence from our youth.
We have temporarily misplaced the importance of family life and the impact it has on the mental health of a society. Communities can not be productive and healthy without the families within it being so. We must reinvent and reinvest in the significance of family life. Child abuse will continue to be an epidemic as long as we as a society subscribe to people abuse.
Abuse is not born, it is perpetuated from one generation through another to another! It is an ongoing scourge that is only halted when one individual surrenders to the thinking that " this is enough" Then and only then, the cycle is broken.
At that time, we still have to pick up the pieces from the damage incurred and work on the healing process for all.
